Recently we wrote that Biden Will Make Us Suffer Severe Inflation Before He Leaves Office and this certainly holds true 3 days later. Consistent with expectations for continued inflation, yesterday the CPI rose substantially again. However, alongside typical expectations for bad news in a Biden economy, a scandal also erupted where apparently BLS was revealed as leaking advanced data on inflation calculation methods to “Super Users.”
Today, the drumbeat of apparent fraud persists, as Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) played further games regarding the critical producer price index. Despite the Agency just having been caught helping left leaning financial institutions steal wealth using non-public information, the very next day BLS posts a complete lie on what happened to retail gasoline prices during the month of March. People generally would have noticed that gas prices jumped substantially – in fact about 6%. However, if BLS admitted this, it would cause the Producer Price Index, reported today, to rise above expectations.
After yesterday’s inflationary print for the Consumer Price Index, BLS was looking to calm down markets and create an appearance that inflation is not getting out of hand. A means to do that is to show that growth in producer prices, which are effectively inputs to future consumer prices, are contained and even falling a bit.
As reported by Zerohedge, BLS reported that seasonally adjusted gasoline prices fell 3.6% in March despite actually rising 6.3% in price – a simply massive and baseless adjustment.

Now, for those wondering "did I pay 3.6% less or 6.3% more for gas in March", we have the answer and unfortunately it is the one that leaves less money in your pocket (it always is). But for the BLS, the seasonal adjustment in this one category which actually soared, meant all the difference in the world because - you see - if Biden's propaganda ministers had used the real gas price, PPI would have been 0.4% higher and risen 2.4% YoY, both blowing away estimates, sending stocks tumbling, and making it impossible to manipulate the OER and shelter inflation data in next month's CPI to come up with a big miss (the current plan).
Yesterday we called for the resignation of the Commissioner Erika McEntarfer. Today, we reiterate she has no business being at the helm of BLS – the Commissioner has turned BLS into shameless center for propaganda today going the unprecendented step of gaslighting actual gas prices. She belongs in prison for defrauding the American people and sharing non-public data with select financial institutions.
